SECRET’s Song Ji Eun opens up about anxiety struggles: ‘I kept ignoring my feelings’

Singer and actress Song Ji Eun recently opened up about her mental health issues. She revealed that over the past few years, she has been dealing with a lot of things, which has left her dealing with anxiety on her own.

The idol is known for regularly sharing videos and vlogs on her online account. In a recent video titled ‘Moments that annoyed you during married life? ’, the idol opened up about working in the K-pop girl group SECRET, and how her life has been since the beginning of her career till now as a married woman.

She revealed that at the time, she used to prioritise other people’s feelings and opinions a lot more than her own. She added, “Before getting married, I tended to follow the team’s opinions rather than my own.

I was always going along with the trend. Because of that, it was hard for me to be kind to myself. I kept ignoring my own feelings. ”

The idol also revealed that her time in the group brought her a lot more negative emotions than good ones. She added, “I didn’t feel happiness from being loved so much, but anxiety about whether I would fall behind or lose my place.” Beyond that, she also shared that while she tried her level best to keep a facade on her face, she was not okay and would always feel the “ground shaking” underneath her.

Her husband, Park We also weighed in on the matter, sharing that she changed a lot for the better after they got married, and that she became more of herself. He shared that “It took me two years to realize that Ji Eun has a strong sense of taste. During our dating days, she was a ‘yes girl’.”
