Anuj Agnihotri tops UPSC Civil Services 2025, Rajeshwari Suve gets second rank

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 today,i.e., March 6, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check the final merit list on the official website, i.e., upsc.gov.in.

The final result has been prepared based on candidates’ performance in the written examination and the Personality Test (Interview).

The result PDF includes the names and roll numbers of candidates recommended for appointment to various civil services across the country.

UPSC CSE FINAL RESULT 2025: WHERE TO CHECK

Candidates can check the final result on the official UPSC website. The commission has released the merit list in PDF format containing the names of candidates selected for different services.

The Civil Services Examination is considered one of the toughest competitive exams in the world. Every year, lakhs of aspirants appear for the exam, but only a small fraction make it to the final list after clearing three stages – the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Personality Test.

Through the CSE, candidates are selected for prestigious services including:

  • Indian Administrative Service (IAS)
  • Indian Police Service (IPS)
  • Indian Foreign Service (IFS)
  • Indian Revenue Service (IRS)
  • Indian Trade Service and other Group A and Group B central services

For the Civil Services Examination 2025, UPSC aims to fill 979 vacancies across various administrative services of the central government.

STEPS TO CHECK UPSC CSE FINAL RESULT 2025

  • Visit the official website,i.e.,upsc.gov.in
  • Click on the “Examination” tab on the homepage
  • Select “Active Examinations” or check the “What’s New” section
  • Click on the link for Civil Services Examination Final Result 2025
  • A PDF file containing the merit list will open
  • Use Ctrl + F and enter your roll number or name to locate your result.

MARKSHEET AVAILABILITY

UPSC has stated that the marksheets of all candidates will be uploaded to the commission’s website within 15 days of the declaration of the final result. The marks will remain available online for 30 days for candidates to download.

AGE LIMIT CRITERIA

According to the UPSC notification, candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 32 years old as of August 1, 2024.

This means applicants should have been born between August 2, 1992 and August 1, 2003.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination remains one of the most sought-after career pathways in India, offering opportunities to serve in key administrative roles across the country. Candidates who have made it to the final merit list will now be appointed to various central services based on their rank and service preference.
