Dubai Airports update: Emirates suspends all scheduled flights until March 7 amid regional airspace closures

In another update, Emirates airline has cancelled all scheduled flights to and from Dubai until March 7, 2026 (until 23:59 UAE), amid regional airspace restrictions. Therefore, travellers planning journeys to or through Dubai are advised to take note of the new update. The reason behind the suspension is the ongoing airspace closures across parts of the region.

As per current update, despite suspending its scheduled flights, Emirates continues to operate a limited number of flights to support essential travel. These services are being run on a priority basis. The flights are taking care of those customers who had earlier confirmed bookings. The airline has clarified that passengers will only be accepted on these limited services if they hold a confirmed booking and have been directly notified by Emirates.

For transit passengers, the airline made clear that customers transiting through Dubai will only be accepted if their onward connecting flight is operating. This means travellers without a confirmed, operating connection will not be allowed to board flights bound for Dubai.

It is a strong advisory which is aimed at preventing congestion and inconvenience. Emirates has also urged passengers not to proceed to the airport unless they have received direct communication from the airline.

Also, if they do not have a confirmed booking on one of the limited operating flights.

The airline also mentioned that they continue to monitor the current situation. And that its operational schedule will be adjusted as conditions permit. Meanwhile travellers are encouraged to regularly check the Emirates Flight Status page for information.

Confirming the cancellation, Dubai Airports on the other also took to their social media X and informed:

Apparently, the ongoing regional tensions that began on February 28, 2026, have affected a big number of passengers, airlines and airports, across the Middle East and beyond.
