Vivo X300 Ultra global launch is almost confirmed, camera flagship will be previewed at MWC

Vivo launched the X300 and X300 Pro last year, and now the next device in the lineup — the Vivo X300 Ultra — is on its way. The company has confirmed that it will preview the X300 Ultra at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). The event is taking place in Barcelona, Spain, from March 2 to March 5.

Vivo has billed the X300 Ultra’s appearance at MWC as a “first global preview,” all but confirming that the device will be launched globally. In other words, it won’t be limited to the Chinese market like its predecessor, the X200 Ultra. We can expect Vivo to reveal the phone in full and share global availability details at MWC.

Vivo X300 Ultra expected specifications and features

The Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.82-inch 1440 x 3168 LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Armour Glass protection. The device is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (3nm) chipset and is expected to run on Android 16-based OriginOS 6.

In terms of photography, the Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to boast an impressive triple camera setup. It may have a 200-megapixel primary sensor. It is likely to be paired with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom. Completing the setup is said to be a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor with a 116-degree field of view and dual-pixel PDAF. All three cameras may feature Zeiss optics, along with laser autofocus and HDR support. The front camera is said to feature a 50-megapixel sensor with a 24mm wide lens, capable of recording 4K video.

On the battery front, X300 Ultra may carry a massive 7000 mAh battery along with 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.

The Vivo X300 Ultra may come in three colours: Black, Silver and Red. The device is likely to come in four configurations: 12GB/256GB storage, 12GB/512GB storage, 16GB/512GB storage and 16GB/1TB storage. The smartphone is said to have an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

It is worth noting that these specifications are based on rumours and leaks. The company has yet to officially reveal the device’s full details. However, the Chinese tech company described X300 Ultra as the “most advanced exploration to date in mobile imaging and videography,” built on continued investment in optics engineering, computational photography, and system-level optimisation.
