Vivo X300 Ultra and X300 FE launching in India on May 6, here everything you need to know

Vivo has officially teased the Vivo X300 FE on X (formerly Twitter) for the Indian market. The Chinese smartphone maker confirmed that the device will be launched on May 6 and will go on sale on May 14. The image shows the smartphone in a green finish, which the brand has confirmed to be exclusive for Indian customers. The teaser also confirmed that the smartphone is packed with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip similar to its global variant. The Vivo X300 FE will break cover along with the Vivo X300 Ultra, the camera flagship of the company. Both devices will be equipped with external telephoto extenders.

Vivo X300 FE design and telephoto extender

If you look at the Vivo X200 FE — the predecessor of the Vivo X300 FE — you will see a noticeable shift in terms of design. The new design comes with a horizontal pill-shaped camera module, housing three camera cutouts, alongside an LED flash and ZEISS branding. While the X200 FE features a vertical, pill-shaped camera island positioned on the left side, housing two cameras and the ZEISS branding that sits between the sensors. One camera and an aura flashlight are placed outside the camera module.

Vivo confirmed in the teaser that the Vivo X300 FE will support an external Zeiss telephoto extender, which appears similar to the accessory seen on the Vivo X300 Ultra. This suggests that the Chinese smartphone maker is pushing this camera Attachment across the series.

Vivo X300 FE specifications

The Vivo X300 FE debuted in China on March 4. The device features a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, delivering flagship-level performance. On the camera front, the phone offers a triple rear setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, all tuned with ZEISS optics. It also supports optional ZEISS lens attachments to extend zoom capabilities beyond the built-in hardware.

The handset packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.

Vivo X300 FE expected price and availability

The Vivo X300 FE is expected to be priced between Rs 55,000 and Rs 75,000. It is likely to be offered in 12GB RAM and 256GB, and 12GB RAM and 512GB variants.

In terms of availability, Vivo is expected to launch the X300 FE alongside the X300 Ultra in India on May 6, with sales likely to begin around May 14.
