Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max to launch on March 17: MediaTek processor, 9000mAh battery, 100watt fast charging and other features to expect

Poco X8 Pro series is set to debut in the Indian and global market on March 17. The series is said to comprise two smartphones – Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max. Poco has been teasing the upcoming devices, confirming MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra for Poco X8 Pro and MediaTek Dimensity 9500s for Poco X8 Pro Max. In a latest teaser, the company showed X8 Pro in white and X8 Pro Max in Black, both with a metal frame and dual rear cameras. Here’s a look at expected features and specifications of the upcoming Poco phones

Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max: Expected features

Both Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max are said to be the rebranded version of Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max.

According to previous rumours, the Poco X8 Pro is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The smartphone may include a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) on the back and a 20MP front camera for selfies and video calls. It is also expected to house a 6500mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging. Reports suggest that the global version may include the 6500mAh battery, while the Indian variant could feature a 7560mAh battery, similar to the Redmi Turbo 5.

The Poco X8 Pro Max, on the other hand, is expected to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device may include a 50MP primary camera on the back with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, it may have a 20MP front camera. The smartphone could pack a 9000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging.

Both the upcoming smartphones are said to come with IP68 IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
