MacBook Air M4 now available with Rs 7,000 discount offer, here is how the deal works

Apple’s MacBook Air with the M4 chip is currently available at a lower effective price in India, thanks to a new discount offer on Croma. The deal combines a small flat discount offer with bank card benefits, allowing buyers to reduce the cost of the laptop by up to Rs 7,000. The offer is available on the MacBook Air M4 variant that comes with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. When Apple launched this model in India, it carried a starting price of Rs 99,900. Croma is now listing the same configuration at Rs 97,900, which means the retailer has already applied a direct discount of Rs 2,000.

On top of this, customers using eligible credit cards from ICICI Bank or Axis Bank can get an instant discount of Rs 5,000. Following this, the effective price drops to around Rs 92,900. But is the MacBook Air M4 now worth buying in 2026? Let’s find out.

MacBook Air M4 now available with Rs 7,000 discount offer, is it worth buying?

With the ongoing discount, the MacBook Air M4 begins to look like a much more attractive option for buyers considering a new Apple laptop. The device runs on Apple’s M4 processor, which delivers better everyday speed and efficiency compared to earlier Apple silicon chips. In regular use, this translates into smoother multitasking and improved responsiveness when handling multiple apps or heavier workloads. Even with these performance improvements, the laptop continues to use Apple’s fan-less design, meaning it operates silently without active cooling.

A notable improvement with this generation is support for two external displays. Previous MacBook Air models had restrictions when it came to connecting multiple monitors, which made them less ideal for desk-based work setups. The M4 model addresses this limitation, allowing users to run a more flexible multi-screen workspace.

Apart from these changes, much of the MacBook Air experience remains familiar. The laptop retains its thin and lightweight body, which has long been one of the main reasons people prefer the Air over bulkier laptops in the same segment. Battery life continues to be a major highlight as well, with Apple claiming up to 18 hours of usage on a single charge. This makes it suitable for long working days, travel, or extended study sessions.

The laptop also includes an upgraded 12-megapixel front camera. It supports features like Center Stage and Desk View, which can be helpful for video calls, online classes and remote meetings.

However, the upgrade may not feel dramatic for everyone. Users who already own the MacBook Air M3 are unlikely to notice a major difference in their everyday workflow. The improvements are likely to be more noticeable for those upgrading from older Intel-based MacBooks or the first-generation M1 Air.

Price, however, plays a major role in this situation. With the current offer bringing the effective cost close to Rs 80,000, the MacBook Air M4 starts looking much more competitive in the premium laptop category. At this price point, it also overlaps with several high-end Windows laptops available in the market.

Buyers who are not in a hurry may still want to wait for the MacBook Air M5 to officially go on sale in India. Once the newer model hits the market, prices of the M4 variant could drop further. For now though, the ongoing discount already makes the MacBook Air M4 a compelling option for those looking to buy a new Apple laptop without paying the full launch price.
