ISRO Releases Advanced Chandrayaan-2 Data to Unlock Moon’s Polar Secrets
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has unveiled new, advanced data products from its Chandrayaan-2 orbiter, specifically designed to enhance the global scientific understanding of the Moon’s polar regions.
In an official statement, ISRO confirmed:
“These include important parameters describing the physical and dielectric properties of the Moon’s surface. This is India’s major value addition towards future global exploration of the Moon.”
This release provides critical information about the lunar surface’s composition and characteristics, which is vital for planning future missions, including potential landings and resource utilization.
The complete dataset is now available for researchers and the public to access by logging into the (ISSDC) website.
