Senior NDA leaders rubbished the opposition allegations that BJP forced CM Nitish Kumar to quit and take the exit route to the Rajya Sabha.
Senior JD(U) leader and Union minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh as well as BJP minister Ram Kripal Yadav said there is no one on earth to force Nitish to take any decision and whatever he decided was his own will and wish.
RJD state president Mangni Lal Mandal alleged Friday that BJP wants to get rid of Nitish Kumar and use his son Nishant Kumar as a weapon against him.
Lalan, who attended the JD(U) lawmakers’ meeting with Nitish, said all important decisions in Bihar are made with the consent and approval of the CM and that no one has ever been able to force him to take a decision against his wishes.
When asked about the opposition allegations that the BJP hijacked Nitish, Lalan said if parties like the Congress and RJD are making statements on this issue, let them know that he (CM) always makes the final decisions in Bihar politics.
Responding to the allegations made by former JD(U) leader RCP Singh, Lalan said even his name makes Nitish angry. “There is no point in reacting to the statements of someone who is no longer in the party,” he said.
BJP leader and agriculture minister Ram Kripal Yadav said the opposition has found an opportunity to speak out, though they know very well that Nitish has never acted under pressure.
