: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the re-opened application window for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG), today February 26, 2026. Candidates who have not yet completed their registrations must do it today. The window will close at 11:50 PM.
The registration process for CUET-UG 2026 started on January 3, 2026, and will continue until January 30, 2026, with the deadline for application fee payment extended to January 31, 2026 (11:50 PM).
However, after receiving appeals from students, the NTA has extended the deadline to February 4, while also extending the deadline for application fee payment to February 7. Despite the deadline extensions, some students have still not been able to register for the exam due to technical problems, internet connectivity issues, or their own limitations.
After receiving new representations, the NTA has reopened the application and payment portal on February 23, 2026 (afternoon). It has been made clear by the officials that this is a special and short-duration opportunity, and there will be no further extensions.
Examination schedule and pattern
The CUET-UG 2026 exam will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at multiple centers in India and some international locations. The tentative date of the examination is fixed between May 11 and May 31, 2026.
