Understandably, most producers and directors do not want their films buried under the avalanche of buzz and box office that these two big-ticket films would generate. But one Malayalam film has decided to take the bull by the horns, betting on nothing but the strength of its content and its target audience.
‘Aadu 3’ walks straight into the battlefield
Yes, the Malayalam film in question is ‘Aadu 3. ’ The third installment of the beloved franchise, featuring Jayasurya in the lead role, has locked its release on March 19. The film, directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, is arriving for ‘one last ride,’ as actor-producer Vijay Babu said, and they have no intention of backing down. What makes them gamble? They are banking on Pinky (the goat) and, of course, the loyal fan base the franchise has established over the years—‘Aadu’ (2015) and ‘Aadu 2’ (2017).
