Samsung launches 60W adapter to fast charge Galaxy S26 Ultra but it can charge other devices too: Price, features

Samsung has launched a 60W fast charger following the launch of the company’s flagship smartphone, Galaxy S26 Ultra. This adapter can deliver charging across multiple devices such as smartphones, laptops, or earbuds, Samsung says. The company claims it can charge the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra up to 75 per cent in just 30 minutes. The adapter is available in sole back colour option.

Samsung 60W adapter specifications, features, price and availability

Samsung’s new adapter is built using Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology, which replaces traditional silicon-based parts. This enables higher power efficiency in a compact form factor. Samsung says the charger runs cooler, reduces energy loss, and lowers the risk of overheating compared to conventional adapters, potentially extending product lifespan.

The South Korean tech giant claims the charger delivers just 0.005W of standby power consumption when plugged in but not actively charging a device. The adapter also carries Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification for incorporating 20 per cent recycled material in its development.

The adapter supports USB Power Delivery 3.1 with PPS (Programmable Power Supply), allowing real-time voltage and current adjustments based on a device’s charging requirements. This helps optimise charging speed while reducing heat generation and preserving long-term battery health. The adapter measures 6cm x 7.84cm x 3.4cm (W x H x D) and weighs 167g.

The Samsung 60W adapter is priced at Rs 3,499 in India. It is available via Samsung’s official website, Flipkart, Amazon, and select retail stores.

As Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra supports 60W charging, the company appears to have introduced the new power adapter to complement its latest premium smartphone.
Speaking more of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, the smartphone carries a 5,000 mAh battery, which is complemented by 60W wired and 25W wireless charging. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

For photography, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel 5x periscope telephoto lens, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, and a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto camera.

In India, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is priced at Rs 1,39,999 for the 12GB / 256GB variant. The 12GB / 512GB and 16GB / 1TB configurations are available at Rs 1,59,999 and Rs 1,89,999, respectively.
