Beats launches special MagSafe cases for iPhone 17e, most affordable member of Apple’s iPhone 17 series

Apple has launched iPhone 17e, the most affordable smartphone in the iPhone 17 lineup. Beats has simultaneously launched a couple of new special cases for the iPhone 17e highlighting one of its biggest headlining features, aka, MagSafe support. The new Beats iPhone 17e covers/cases are priced at Rs 4,500 and you can buy them today even before the iPhone 17e which itself goes on sale starting from March 11 with pre-orders kicking off from March 4.

The iPhone 17e cases from Beats come in a choice of Bedrock Blue and Lime Stone. They are made of polycarbonate and have flexible sidewalls can enhance shock absorption, all while maintaining a thin and lightweight profile, according to Beats. The finish is matte and designed to take some beating. Beats says it doesn’t attract scratches, smudges and fingerprints. The interior of these cases is lined with smooth microfibre to help limit surface abrasion.

The Beats iPhone 17e cases are compatible with MagSafe, which means that they have a setup that aligns perfectly with the new iPhone’s built-in magnets that facilitate wireless charging over the Qi2 standard. The bottom of these cases is open to provide access to the USB-C port. Beats goes as far as to say that these cases have undergone extensive testing to so they can protect the iPhone in case of any unwanted stress.

While the Beats-made iPhone 17e cases are available now on Apple’s website, the smartphone iPhone 17e is set to go live for pre-orders on March 4 and will go on sale from March 11. The iPhone 17e starts at Rs 64,900 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. A model with 512GB storage will cost Rs 84,900.

iPhone 17e specs and features

The iPhone 17e sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, up to 800 nits of peak brightness (1,200 nits for HDR content), and a 60Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Apple’s A19 chip and has the C1X cellular modem. The 17e comes with 8GB of RAM as standard and offers storage options up to 512GB, with base storage starting at 256GB. On the camera front, the iPhone 17e features a single 48-megapixel camera on the back and a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera on the front.
