Past advisory

Earlier in the week, the embassy had urged Indian citizens, including students, tourists, pilgrims and business travellers, to leave Iran using commercial flights or any other available means, citing deteriorating security conditions. The mission has also shared 24×7 emergency helpline numbers and requested Indian nationals to register with the embassy to facilitate communication and assistance if required. Officials indicated that the advisory is precautionary in nature, aimed at ensuring the safety of the Indian community in Iran in view of possible disruptions or sudden escalation.

Emergency support mechanism activated

It is pertinent to mention here that the Embassy of India in Iran has renewed its commitment to being available to its citizens through its emergency contact services. It has been advised that Indian citizens should maintain contact with the Embassy of India, avoid protest sites, and follow guidelines given by local authorities and reliable news agencies for timely information.
