Samsung S26 Launch Live: Samsung’s first Galaxy Unpacked Event of the year has taken the wraps off all three Galaxy S26 devices. The company has also launched the new Galaxy Buds 4 alongisde the new flagship models.
Galaxy S26 and S26+ specs:
Galaxy S26 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, while the Galaxy S26+ sports a larger 6.7-inch QHD+ screen. Both phones come with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
On the performance front, both devices are powered by the new Samsung Exynos 2600 processor paired with the Xclipse 960 GPU. The two phones come with support for up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
As for optics, the S26 and S26+ come with a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP primary shooter with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS. They house a 12MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The rear cameras are capable of recording 8K video at 30fps and 4K at 60fps, while the front camera supports 4K 60fps video recording.
The Galaxy S26 packs a larger 4,300mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging, whereas the S26+ houses the same 4,900mAh battery from last year with 45W fast charging. Both devices support 20W Qi2 wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.
Both phones run on Samsung’s OneUI 8.5 based on Android 16 with a promise of 7 years of OS updates and security patches.
The S26 comes with a thickness of 7.2mm and weighs 167g. Meanwhile, the S26+ is slightly thicker at 7.3mm and weighs 190g.

Galaxy S26 Ultra comes with a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Samsung flagship has become the first-ever device to come with a Privacy Display. The feature works by controlling how the pixels disperse light, and Samsung says that the display keeps the content clear and bright for users in everyday use while limiting what bystanders can see.
On the performance front, the Galaxy S26 Ultra comes with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which is said to deliver a 19% improvement in CPU performance, a 39% improvement in NPU performance and a 24% improvement in GPU performance over its predecessor.
The phone also comes with a redesigned vapor chamber cooling system, which is said to allow heat to spread more efficiently across a larger surface area.
The S26 Ultra continues to come with a 5,000mAh battery, but Samsung has brought in support for 60W wired fast charging. The Korean smartphone maker claims that its new device can go from 0 to 75% in just 30 minutes.
On the optics front, the S26 Ultra comes with a 200MP primary shooter with 2x optical zoom, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The 12MP shooter on the front is equipped for selfies and video calls.

The base Galaxy S26 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at $899.99 (approximately ₹81,800), while the 512GB model costs $1,099.99 (approximately ₹1,00,000). The Galaxy S26+ starts at $1,099.99 (approximately ₹1,00,000) for the 12GB RAM/256GB variant and goes up to $1,299.99 (approximately ₹1,18,200) for the 12GB RAM/512GB model.
