Namaste: Top Israeli newspaper prints special front page for PM Modi visit

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s second visit to Israel, the Israeli news publication The Jerusalem Post decided to print a special front page to welcome the Indian PM. Zvika Klein, the Editor-in-Chief of the paper, took the issue to Twitter and made the announcement on February 24.

“We just sent tomorrow’s paper to print in Jerusalem ahead of PM @narendramodi’s historic visit to Israel, his first since 2017. This is our special @Jerusalem_Post cover for the occasion. What do you think?” he wrote on X. Adding further, the veteran journalist also urged his readers to join him in welcoming the Prime Minister.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi will land in Israel around 4 pm (Indian standard time). This is Modi’s first visit to Israel since 2017, and he is expected to hold key discussions over bilateral trade and the situation in Gaza. The PM will also address the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset as the first Indian Prime Minister.
