GTA 6 likely price leaked online: Here’s how much the popular game may cost

Gamers eagerly waiting for the Grand Theft Auto VI have now spotted a digital listing which hints at the possible pricing of the much-awaited game. According to a report by Insider Gaming, the Xbox version of GTA 6 appeared online for a short period of time with a price tag of £89. 99, which would translate to around $99. 99 USD. If accurate, this would make GTA 6 one of the most expensive “standard edition” games ever released. Along with this, the listing also showed a PC code for the Rockstar Games Launcher priced at £60. 99. However, the industry watchers cautioned that these prices are likely placeholder prices which is a common practice that takes place ahead of popular game launches.

GTA 6 expected price

The leaked digital listing suggests that Grand Theft Auto VI could carry a hefty price tag, with the standard edition appearing online at around $99. 99 USD. This would make GTA 6 one of the most expensive mainstream titles ever released, surpassing the $70 benchmark that has become common for AAA games in recent years. The listing, spotted on the storefront Loaded (formerly CD Keys), showed the Xbox version priced at £89. 99, while a PC code for Rockstar’s launcher appeared at £60. 99.

GTA 6 expected features

The game is likely to feature a massive open-world map inspired by modern-day Florida, dual protagonists, and enhanced gameplay mechanics.

Online reports suggest that GTA will feature a female protagonist, Lucia for the first time, alongside a male character. This dual-character storyline adds depth and variety to the narrative. The game is said to offer players an option to explore diverse environments like urban cities, beaches, swamps, and small towns.

Rumours also suggest that the game may come equipped with enhanced graphics with ray tracing, volumetric clouds, and realistic reflections, making the game world more immersive.

NPCs are also rumoured to get improved reactions, making the world feel alive. Police behavior is also expected to be more intelligent, introducing new stealth mechanics for evading law enforcement.

Other features may include realistic physics and advanced character customization are anticipated. It is also expected that players may have access to a wide range of interiors as well.

GTA 6 launch date

GTA maker Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has reaffirmed that the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto (GTA) VI is set to launch on November 19, 2026. The company has also confirmed that Rockstar Games will begin its marketing campaign for the upcoming game this summer. This suggests that the title, which has already been delayed twice over the last couple of years, is on track to launch on the given date.

According to a report by IGN, a statement confirming the launch of GTA 6 appeared in Take-Two’s Q3 2026 earnings results, in which the publisher expressed unusual confidence about the release. The company said: “Our execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach Fiscal 2027 – which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry – led by the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this Summer.
