West Indies vs Zimbabwe T20 World Cup 2026 highlights: Gudakesh Motie takes four as Windies win by massive 107 runs

West Indies’ massive 107-run win over Zimbabwe have boosted their net run rate massively in the Group 1 of Super 8 of the T20 World Cup 2026. Batting first, West Indies posted 254/6 in 20 overs. In reply, Zimbabwe were all out for 145 in 17.4 overs.

With this win, West Indies went on level with South Africa on two points. But West Indies have taken the top spot in the table with a NRR of +5.350 as compared to South Africa’s +3.800. India (-3.800) are placed third while Zimbabwe (NRR of -5.350) are fourth.

In Group 2, England are placed on top of the table with a win over Sri Lanka. Pakistan and New Zealand are placed second and third respectively after their clash was washed out due to rain.

That’s it. Matthew Forde takes the final wicket of Brad Evans as West Indies win by 107 runs. Zimbabwe are all out for 147 in 17.4 overs.

Having missed the 2024 edition after losing to Uganda in the qualifiers, Zimbabwe have come on a mission. They produced the major upset in knocking Australia out in the group stage. While their clash against Ireland was washed out, Zimbabwe topped the table with a win over co-hosts Sri Lanka to impress everyone.

West Indies have been brilliant in this edition of the T20 World Cup 2026. They defeated the likes of Nepal, Italy, Scotland and England to finish in top of Group C. With two-time T20 World Cup-winning former skipper Darren Sammy as the head coach, the Caribbeans look a stronger team this time.
