Samsung teases privacy display feature on Galaxy S26 Series: Here’s what it does

Samsung has announced to host its next Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25. While the company has not revealed the name of the device its may unveil at Galaxy Unpacked event this month, it is rumoured that the company will reveal its Galaxy S26 series phones. Now, the company has launched a YouTube teaser giving a hint at a new privacy display feature that will come with the upcoming Samsung phones. The 15-second video clip shows how the ‘zero-peeking’ privacy feature will work. The video depicts two commuters on a metro train trying to peek at screen of a Samsung Galaxy S26 series smartphone user.

The user instantly enables the privacy display feature, which prevents the onlookers from viewing the screen, even from side angles.

“Can your phone do that?,” reads the tagline at the clip end.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25

As announced by Samsung, the next Galaxy Unpacked event will be held in San Francisco on February 25. The event will kickstart at 10 a.m. PT/ 11:30 p.m. IST and will be livestream on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung’s YouTube channel.

“On February 25, Samsung Electronics will host Unpacked in San Francisco. Join us as we unveil Samsung’s newest Galaxy innovations – marking a new phase in the era of AI as intelligence becomes truly personal and adaptive,” the announcement said.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event: Pre-reservation for Galaxy S26 series start

In its official announcement, Samsung also revealed that reservations of the upcoming Galaxy AI phone have begun on the company’s website. Those interested can pre-reserve the phone and get $30 credit when they pre-order in addition to a chance to win $5,000 gift card. Samsung has also announced $900 addition savings with a trade-in or receive a $150 credit with no trade-in when you reserve and pre-order on Samsung.com.

Plus, receive up to $900 in additional savings with a trade-in or receive a $150 credit with no trade-in when you reserve and pre-order on Samsung.com. And for the first time, there’s even more ways to reserve,” Samsung said.

Indian consumers can secure their spot in line by paying a refundable token amount of Rs 999. Customers who pre-reserve will be eligible for exclusive benefits worth Rs 2,699 upon the final purchase of the ‘Next AI Phone’.
