Taxi driver’s daughter, Geetika Pant tops Uttarakhand Board with 98% marks

The declaration of Uttarakhand Board Class 12 results brought celebrations to Bageshwar district, as the region emerged as the brightest spot on the state’s academic map.

Geetika Pant, a student from the district, has secured the top position in the state with an impressive 98 per cent marks.

The result has placed the district in the spotlight and turned a quiet town into a centre of pride and celebration.

BAGESHWAR CELEBRATES STATE-WIDE GLORY

As the results were announced, Bageshwar witnessed scenes of happiness across schools and neighbourhoods.

The district not only produced the state topper but also delivered a strong overall performance, reinforcing its growing academic reputation.

Local authorities and educators praised the students for their dedication, calling it a proud moment for the region.

GEETIKA PANT’S RISE TO THE TOP

Geetika Pant, who has topped the Uttarakhand Board Class 12 examinations, comes from a modest background. She is the daughter of Chandrashekhar Pant, a taxi driver, while her mother, Rita Pant, is a homemaker.

Despite financial constraints, Geetika’s academic journey has been shaped by consistent hard work, discipline, and focus.

Her achievement of 98 per cent marks has made her a role model for students across the state, especially those from rural areas striving to overcome limited resources.

FAMILY SUPPORT AND FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

Geetika credited her success to the constant encouragement of her family, teachers, and her grandfather.

She expressed gratitude for their support throughout her schooling.

Looking ahead, she plans to pursue engineering, aiming to build a strong academic and professional future in the technical field.

MORE REASONS FOR PRIDE IN BAGESHWAR

The district’s success did not end with the top rank.

Khushi Kandpal, a student from Government Girls Inter College (GGIC) Kanda, secured the fifth position in the state, further strengthening Bageshwar’s academic standing.

District officials, including District Magistrate Akanksha Konde, congratulated the students and appreciated the collective effort of schools and teachers.

This achievement has also highlighted the growing importance of education in smaller towns of Uttarakhand, where students are increasingly competing with confidence at the state level.

Educators believe such results will encourage more investment in school infrastructure and academic support systems.

For many families in similar backgrounds, Geetika’s success stands as proof that determination and guidance can overcome economic barriers and lead to excellence in competitive examinations, becoming a moment of pride for Uttarakhand state now.
