Things to know to while backing up WhatsApp messages through your Google account

Check that your Google Account is activated on your device.

You must have Google Play Services installed on your device.

You must have enough free space on your device to perform the backup.

How to set up recurring backups

Tap Chat Backup > Back up to Google Account .

Choose a schedule other than Never or Only when I tap “Back up. ”

Select the Google account you want to back up your chats to.

If your Google Account isn’t connected, tap Add account when prompted and enter your login information.

To back up, tap Back up using mobile data and select the network you want to use.
Note: If your Google Account’s frequency is set to daily , your chats will be saved to your Google Account every night after a local backup is taken.
