The Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) will close the registration process for PSSSB Clerk recruitment 2026 today, March 6, 2026. Candidates who wish to apply for the Clerk post in various Punjab Government departments can submit their application through the official website, sssb. punjab. gov. in.

The recruitment notification was released under Advertisement Number 02 of 2026. The online application process began on February 14, 2026, and eligible candidates must complete the form submission and fee payment before the deadline today.

PSSSB Clerk recruitment 2026: How to apply

Candidates can follow these steps to submit their application form online:

  1. Visit the official website: sssb. punjab. gov. in

  2. Click on the link for PSSSB Clerk recruitment 2026 on the homepage.

  3. Complete the registration process by entering the required details.

  4. Fill in the application form and upload the necessary documents.

  5. Pay the application fee and submit the form.

  6. Download and save a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.

Recruitment process and salary

The recruitment will be conducted for Clerk posts in different departments of the Punjab Government.

The total number of vacancies has not been announced yet.

Candidates will be selected through a written examination, followed by a typing test and document verification.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 19,900.

Age limit and eligibility

Candidates applying for the post must be between 18 and 37 years of age as on January 1, 2026. Age relaxation is available for certain categories.

  • Scheduled Caste (SC) and Backward Class (BC) candidates who are residents of Punjab: upper age limit up to 42 years

  • Government employees: upper age limit up to 45 years

  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD): upper age limit up to 47 years

Educational qualification

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

They must also have completed at least a 120-hour computer course with working knowledge of office productivity applications and desktop publishing applications from a government-recognised or ISO 9001 certified institution.

Alternatively, candidates with an ‘O’ Level certificate from the Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC), Government of India are also eligible.

In addition, candidates must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject. A Punjabi language qualifying test at the Matric level with a minimum of 50 per cent marks is mandatory.

The admit card for the examination will be released seven to ten days before the exam date, while the written examination schedule will be announced later by the Board.
