Ultraviolette X-47 now starts at Rs 1.49 lakh! BaaS pricing, details explained

Bengaluru-based EV maker Ultraviolette Automotive has launched a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) initiative called Battery Flex, allowing buyers to purchase the new Ultraviolette X‑47 Crossover at a significantly lower upfront price. Here’s a quick look at the details.

Ultraviolette X47: BaaS details explained

With the Battery Flex programme, the X-47 can now be purchased starting at Rs 1.49 lakh, while the battery pack is offered separately through a monthly subscription. Without BaaS, the model carries a sticker price of Rs 2.49 lakh, ex-showroom.

The subscription begins at Rs 2,499 per month and runs for a period of five years. Ultraviolette says the new structure lowers the initial purchase cost by nearly 40 percent.

The programme has been launched in partnership with green-focused NBFC Ecofy.

Under this model, customers pay for the motorcycle chassis upfront while the battery is financed through the monthly plan. At the end of the subscription period, the battery ownership is transferred to the customer at no extra cost. Ultraviolette has also confirmed that the battery pack will come with a five-year warranty. Enrolments for the Battery Flex plan open today.

The X-47 Crossover is offered with two battery pack options: a 7.1 kWh unit delivering a claimed 211 km IDC range, and a larger 10.3 kWh battery with a claimed 323 km IDC range. The top variant produces 40 hp of peak power and 100 Nm of torque.

Ultraviolette claims the X-47 can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 2.7 seconds, reach 100 kmph in 8.1 seconds, and has a top speed of 145 kmph.
