Nothing Phone 4a series, Nothing Headphone a launched: Check prices, specs

Nothing has taken the wraps off the Phone 4a series. Both phones come with distinct Nothing designs, but with some big differences. The Phone 4a debuts the new Glyph Bar, while the Phone 4a Pro brings back the Glyph Matrix we saw on the Phone 3 last year.

The Phone 4a series also comes with notable upgrades across the board, in terms of display, performance and battery. Here are all the details.

Nothing Phone 4a series design

A key highlight for the Phone 4a series is colour. The Phone 4a Pro comes in silver, black, and pink. While the Phone 4a comes in pink, blue, black, and white. Both phones also get the recording light from the Phone 3.

The Phone 4a Pro comes with a new metallic design, instead of the transparent theme seen on other Nothing phones. Though the transparent elements are still in the camera module, which is much larger now. The Glyph Matrix is also present here. The device gets a metal unibody. The Phone 4a has a thickness of 7.95mm.

The Phone 4a comes with a transparent design, something we have come to expect from Nothing phones. You also notice some metallic elements. The back is made of glass. The pill-shaped camera module is placed higher than the one on the Phone 3a, with the Glyph Bar placed beside it. The device gets a flat plastic frame, and has a thickness of 8.55mm.

While the Phone 4a Pro comes with an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance, the Phone 4a comes with IP64 rating.

Nothing Phone 4a series display and battery

Both phones get a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. The refresh rate on the Phone 4a Pro is 144Hz while the Phone 4a gets a 120Hz refresh rate. The Phone 4a Pro is claimed to have the slimmest bezels on a Nothing phone.

The peak brightness of the Phone 4a Pro’s display is 5,000nits while the Phone 4a gets 4,500 nits. You also get an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.

The Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro come with 5,400mAh batteries. Both devices support 50W fast charging.

Nothing Phone 4a series performance and OS updates

The Nothing Phone 4a Pro gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, compared to the 7s Gen 3 on the Phone 3a Pro. On the other hand, the Phone 4a uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor.

You get UFS 3.1 storage on both phones. The Phone 4a Pro also gets LPDDR5X RAM. Both phones also get larger vapour chambers for better sustained performance.

The Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro run on Android 16-based Nothing OS 4.1 out of the box. Both phones get AI features, including Essential Space. You can also create custom Glyph Matrix animations for the Phone 4a Pro.

Both phones will get 3 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches

Nothing Phone 4a series cameras

The Nothing Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro pack triple rear camera setups. The Phone 4a Pro comes with a 50-megapixel Sony sensor, with a 50-megapixel JN5 3.5x periscope telephoto and an 8-megapixel ultrawide.

The Phone 4a gets the same telephoto and ultrawide sensors but with a 50-megapixel Samsung GN9 primary sensor. Both phones get a 32-megapixel Samsung KD1 sensor for selfies.

Nothing Phone 4a series price

The Phone 4a Pro is priced at Rs 39,999 for the base 8GB/128GB model. The 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB variants will cost you Rs 42,999 and Rs 45,999.

The Nothing Phone 4a starts in India at Rs 31,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant, The 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB models will cost you Rs 34,999 and Rs 37,999 respectively.

With exchange and bank offers, the Phone 4a can be purchased for as low as Rs 24,999.

Pre-orders for the Nothing Phone 4a start today, with the sale starting on March 13. Pre-orders for the Phone 4a Pro will begin on March 13, with sales going live on March 27.

Nothing Headphone a

Apart from the Phone 4a series, Nothing also unveiled the Headphone a. The Nothing Headphone a comes in vibrant colours such as yellow and pink. The company also promises that the headset is focused at delivering better bass, compared to the Headphone 1.

Nothing states that the Headphone a can last for up to 135 hours on a single charge. It also comes with a shortcut button to click images from your phone. The Nothing Headphone is yet to be launched in India. The headset is priced at $199 (roughly Rs 18,000) in the US.
