US Air Force sergeant in uniform makes video ranting against US. Who is Melissa Mece?

An active-duty Air Force sergeant in the US military, working for NATO in Italy, is going viral as she was seen giving her geopolitical opinion on US and its relationship with other countries, as she called her commander-in-chief ‘the Cheeto’. The member has been identified as Melissa Mece. The video surfaced after US and Israel struck Iran and as MAGA activists tagged Secretay of War Pete Hegseth so that he could take a look at the video and take action against Mece, President Donald Trump’s aide Laura Loomer confirmed that the department already saw the video.

Mece explained that NATO came together after World War II and the goal was to prevent anything like World War II from happening again.

“A lot of countries didn’t join World War II right away. They were like not my country, not my problem until eventually it spilled over, became everybody’s problem. It became a world problem and certain countries were forced to get involved because they were attacked. So long story short, we arenot going to do that again. If you fight with one of us, you fight with all of us because we can’t allow someone that amount of power in that amount of damage around the world,” Mece said.

She went on to explain how many countries joined NATO and Sweden, which was never a part of any war, also joined NATO. America is not self-sustaining and is dependent on many countries, she said, adding that ‘you can’t go around burning bridges’. Taking over Venezuela is against international laws, and going over with big guns makes America a rich brat who wants whatever they want whenever they want, the sergeant said.

“What makes this grave is not the words alone, but the rank. A Technical Sergeant is entrusted to lead, mentor, and uphold standards not to weaponize the uniform for personal grievance. This is not dissent; it is dereliction. It erodes the trust that binds our forces together and signals to adversaries that our discipline is fraying,” a USCG vet commented.

“Why are active members of the US military allowed to record videos giving opinions on anything related to national defense or policy?” another wrote.
