Redmi A7 Pro with 6300mAh battery launched in India, price set under Rs 12,000

Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi A7 Pro in India, expanding its Redmi A-series lineup. Notably, it is the first ‘Pro’ model in the series. Some of the key highlights of the phone are a large 6.9-inch screen, a IP52 rating, and a 6300mAh battery. This is an entry-level offering and will be available in three colour options. For those planning to buy this Redmi phone, it is set to go on sale starting April 15 via Amazon. Here is a look at the specs and prices.

Redmi A7 Pro specs and features

The Redmi A7 Pro features a large 6.9-inch display with support for 120Hz refresh rate. It offers up to 800nits of peak brightness. The company claims that the device has support for Wet Touch technology 2.0, which enables you to use the phone with oily and damp fingers. It also comes with triple TUV Rheinland eye-comfort certification to reduce eye strain during extended viewing.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T8300 processor paired with up to 8GB virtual RAM expansion. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3.0.

On the battery front, the Redmi A7 Pro carries a 6300mAh battery with 15W charging support and 7.5W wired reverse charging.

For photography, the smartphone sports a 32-megapixel AI dual rear camera. On the front, it has a water drop notch housing an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

The Redmi A7 Pro 5G features an 8.15mm slim design and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and an IP52 rating for basic dust and water resistance.

The Redmi A7 Pro 5G will be available via Amazon India, Mi.com, and leading retail stores.

It comes in two variants: the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model is priced at Rs 12,499, while the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs 13,499. As part of an introductory offer, buyers can avail a discount of Rs 1,000, bringing the effective prices down to Rs 11,499 and Rs 12,499, respectively.

In terms of colours, the Redmi A7 Pro 5G will be available in Black, Mist Blue, and Sunset Orange, with sales starting from April 15, 2026.
