Hack of the day: Verify LPG cylinder subsidy transfers

If your LPG subsidy isn’t showing up in your bank account, the problem may not be with the gas company but with how your account is linked. Many households lose out on benefits because subsidies get diverted to old accounts or skipped entirely.

The good news: you can verify every refill and subsidy transfer online in minutes. This simple check helps you spot issues early and ensure your cooking gas subsidy reaches the right place.

Why it matters

Many households rely on LPG subsidies to make cooking fuel affordable. But sometimes, subsidies get “skipped” or diverted to old or incorrect bank accounts. By checking your transfer status online, you can quickly detect issues and ensure your subsidy is reaching the right place.

What it solves

Detects issues where your subsidy is being “skipped” or diverted to an old or incorrect bank account.

What to do

View your entire refill history and subsidy transfer status online.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Visit mylpg. in and select your provider (Indane, HP, or Bharat Gas).

  2. Log in (or register) using your consumer number.

  3. Click on “View Content / Refill History. ”

  4. Check the “Subsidy Amount” and “Bank Status” columns for your last few cylinders.

Be careful

  • If you don’t see a subsidy entry, check whether your bank account is Aadhaar-seeded for NPCI mapping.

  • This is the most common reason for payment failure. Without Aadhaar linkage, the subsidy may not reach your account.
