Anuj Agnihotri has secured the top rank in the 2025 civil services examination, the results of which were announced on Friday by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Agnihotri bagged AIR 1 in 3rd attempt. He said that he was “still trying to process the results”, Hindustan Times reported.

He hails from Chittorgarh district in Rajasthan, according to Vajiram and Ravi, a UPSC coaching institute.

Agnihotri’s father reportedly works at the Nuclear Power Plant Rawatbhata, Rajasthan.

In total, 958 candidates have cleared the examination and have been recommended for appointment to various central civil services, the commission said.

The following candidates secured the top ranks in the 2025 Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission: Anuj Agnihotri ranked first, followed by Rajeshwari Suve M in second place and Akansh Dhull in third. According to the commission, the candidature of 348 recommended candidates has been kept provisional. The Centre had earlier informed that 1,087 vacancies would be filled through the examination, as per PTI.

The UPSC also operates a facilitation counter near the examination hall at its campus to assist candidates.

Candidates can receive any information/clarification regarding their examinations/recruitments on working days between 10 AM and 5 PM in person or by dialling 23385271/23381125/23098543.
