Is Netflix’s Class Season 2 coming? Ayesha Kanga spills the beans | FE Exclusive

Netflix’s Indian adaptation of the Spanish OTT series ‘Elite’, the Alhuwalia-Dharmani-Mehta directorial ‘Class’ released in 2023. Following the rather dramatic lives of a posh private school in Delhi, it quickly turns into a drama thriller.

Exclusively speaking to financialexpress.com on the sidelines of Lakme Fashion Week 2025, Ayesha Kanga, who brought Yashika’s character to life, gave us an inside scoop into the Class Season 2 renewal. As fans and audiences await the comeback, several speculations that were abuzz finally come to a halt.

Is Class Season 2 coming?

When asked for a comment on the new season of ‘Class’, Ayesha Kanga seemed disappointed. “It’s only bad news,” she sighed and told us that “it’s not happening.” Her comment bashes several reports which claimed that the shooting for Class Season 2 had begun in the late months of 2024. As per the last cast interviews, it appeared as though the script was in the final stages, and even the filming had begun.

But Kanga silenced those rumours. However, there has been no official comment from Netflix on the matter yet. In March 2023, a social media blast read, “We know how much you loved this course, so we signed you up for another exciting semester. Class will be back with a new season!”

Where is the Class cast now?

While Ayesha Kanga walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week 2025 for Enamor’s collaboration with Papa Don’t Preach yesterday, Naina Bhan, who played Koel Kalra, headlines her own podcast now. Today, she co-hosts the long-form podcast, Moment of Silence, along with influencer Sakshi Shivdasani. Bhan is also a certified intimacy coordinator for sets, and has worked in major productions and the upcoming season of Made in Heaven.

Madhyama Segal, who played Saba, also appeared in the TV series ‘Kaala’ in 2023 is also an empanelled artist with the ICCR. With over 30,000 followers on Instagram, fans await her latest projects. Chayan Chopra is known for his roles in Kiara Advani’s Guilty (2020) and Mahi and Jigar (2024). He made his mark on OTT with Cadets (2024) and featured in 8 episodes. Chopra is also the co-founder of Circle Brands and has walked the ramp for Rahul Mishra’s AFEW collection.

Chintan Rachchh made his debut as the youngest cast member on the Class (2023) set. He is one of the most popular Instagram poets and has starred in Zeenat (2024) after playing Faruq Manzoor in Class.
