Khon La Khrueng Plus Co-Payment Scheme Registration Opens

Khon La Khrueng Plus Scheme Opens Registration

Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas has officially launched the “Khon La Khrueng Plus” co-payment programme, with over 200,000 vendors already registered to participate in the economic stimulus initiative.

Key Programme Benefits

The scheme aims to benefit both consumers and small businesses, providing financial relief through shared payment arrangements. During his monitoring visit to Pathum Thani and Nonthaburi, Mr Ekniti confirmed the programme’s dual advantage for shoppers and local shop owners.

Vendor Registration Details

Vendor registration remains open until December 19, with substantial participation already recorded. The programme has expanded to include licensed public transport providers, offering commuters half-price travel on Transport Co Ltd buses nationwide.

Consumer Registration Timeline

Consumer registration opens through the Pao Tang app from October 20-26 between 6am and 10pm. Eligible participants will receive 2,000-2,400 baht each, with a daily spending cap of 200 baht.

Strong Public Response

Deputy government spokeswoman Airin Phanrit reported overwhelming interest, with 123,960 shops registered between October 15-17 and another 98,064 undergoing verification. Local communities have welcomed the initiative, requesting extended duration for the second phase.

Security Warning

Authorities cautioned against online scams exploiting the scheme’s popularity. Cybercriminals are sending fake links to steal personal and banking information. The public is advised to avoid suspicious SMS links and never share ID numbers, PINs, OTPs, or bank details.

The Ministries of Finance and Interior will monitor for programme misuse, with strict legal action promised against violators.
