Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has added a new luxury SUV to his garage. The actor recently shared an Instagram post in his new Mercedes-Benz G 450d, a diesel-powered version of the popular Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The SUV was launched in India in October last year at a price of Rs 2. 9 crore, ex-showroom, and what makes it even more exclusive is that only 50 units have been allocated for the Indian market in the first batch.
Based on the visuals, the actor seems to have chosen the Classic Grey shade for his G 450d. The model can also be had in other colour options such as Rubellite Red, Deep Green, Dark Blue, Opalite White Bright and Obsidian Black.
The latest G-Class continues to carry its signature boxy design but now features subtle updates, including a grille with four chrome horizontal slats, redesigned bumpers and new 20-inch alloy wheels.
Powering the G 450d is a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that produces 367 hp and 750 Nm of peak torque. It also benefits from a 48V mild-hybrid system that can provide an additional 20 hp boost when required.
The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels.
Despite its rugged off-road nature, the luxury SUV is quick, accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 210 kmph. It also boasts impressive off-road capability with 241 mm ground clearance and a water-wading depth of 700 mm.
Inside, the SUV features dual 12.3-inch screens running the latest MBUX NTG7 system, Nappa leather upholstery, ambient lighting and a 760W Burmester sound system with Dolby Atmos.
