Mahindra introduces XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition at Rs 29.35 lakh

Mahindra and Mahindra has expanded its premium electric portfolio with the launch of the XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition, priced at Rs 29.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as a more indulgent take on its flagship Electric Origin SUV, the Cineluxe Edition blends bespoke styling cues with a technology-rich cabin focused on immersive comfort. Customer bookings commence on March 2, with deliveries scheduled to begin on March 10, 2026.

A more theatrical expression of the XEV 9e

Since its global debut in November 2024, the XEV 9e has emerged as one of India’s most decorated electric SUVs, most notably securing the Green Car of the Year title at ICOTY 2026. The Cineluxe Edition builds on that foundation, targeting buyers who seek a more personalised and lounge-like in-cabin experience without stepping up to the highest price point in the range.

Based on the top-spec Pack Three trim, the Cineluxe Edition distinguishes itself primarily through exclusive cosmetic enhancements. Buyers can choose between two new monotone exterior finishes: Satin Black and Satin White, the latter complemented by gloss-black body cladding for added contrast. Subtle ‘Cineluxe’ badging on the rear pillars marks out the edition, while the rest of the exterior equipment mirrors the fully loaded variant, including 19-inch alloy wheels, full-LED lighting and a powered tailgate.

Dual-tone cabin with immersive tech

Inside, Mahindra has introduced a new Chestnut Brown and Nocturne Black dual-tone theme. The smooth-grain leatherette upholstery features contrasting brown stitching across the seats, armrest, steering wheel and dashboard, lending the cabin a richer visual texture. The design theme extends to the stubby gear selector, door pads and two-spoke steering wheel.

The Cineluxe Edition retains the comprehensive feature list of the Pack Three trim. A coast-to-coast triple HD screen setup forms the centrepiece of the dashboard, paired with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system enhanced by Dolby Atmos. The panoramic Infinity Roof and ambient lighting system, offering over 16 million colour options, allow occupants to tailor the cabin ambience to suit different moods and occasions.

Additional highlights include an augmented-reality head-up display (StraightAhead VisionX), EyeDentity driver and occupant monitoring, HandsFree Park with Auto Park Assist, Secure360 surveillance functionality, and customisable user profiles. Comfort-oriented innovations such as Camp Mode, Keep Mode and PawPal HVAC settings cater to varied lifestyle use cases, while digital key functionality and Secure360 Pro add convenience and peace of mind.

79kWh battery, over 500km claimed range

Unlike other Pack Three options, the Cineluxe Edition is exclusively offered with the larger 79kWh battery pack. Power comes from a rear-mounted electric motor producing 286bhp and 380Nm of torque. Mahindra claims a real-world range of over 500km on a full charge, while independent testing has indicated an achievable range of around 456km. The SUV is capable of accelerating from 0–100kph in 7.45 seconds.

While charging options specific to the Cineluxe Edition have not been detailed separately, the standard XEV 9e is available with either a 7.2kW or 11kW AC home charger at additional cost.
