Actor Zendaya’s mother Clarie Stoermer has reacted to the claims about her daughter’s rumoured wedding with actor Tom Holland. She shared a humorous social media post in response to the reports that suggested Tom and Zendaya’s wedding had “already happened.”
Stoermer, shared a cryptic post on her Instagram story, just a day after American fashion stylist Law Roach claimed that the Euphoria star and Tom Holland may have been secretly married. During an Actor Awards red carpet interview on March 1, Roach claimed that Zandaya and Tom got married in a secret ceremony.
While sharing the clip of Roach’s recent interview at Actor Awards on her Instagram story, Stoermer expressed amusement rather than trying to address the situation. While adding a laughing emoji in the caption, she wrote, “The laugh…”
Roach, a close confidant of Zendaya, in an interview with E! News, a while back, had hinted that wedding plans were not yet underway. He said, “The process hasn’t even started yet. Zendaya is working on so many films. She’s now filming the next instalment of Dune, so she’s away doing that. It’s so many films, so we have time. We have a lot of time.”
“They really love each other and they have for a really long time. The fact that the world has been able to share in that love story, I think it’s really beautiful,” the stylist added.
Zendaya and Holland confirmed their relationship in 2021 but have consistently kept it out of the public eye. The couple have long been protective of their relationship. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in June 2023, Holland said, “Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible. We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing.”
Zendaya will next be seen in the A24-produced romantic comedy The Drama, in which she stars alongside Robert Pattinson.
Holland will once again reunite with Zendaya in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey, based on Homer’s Greek epic.
