KTM RC 390 vs Kawasaki Ninja 300: Specs, price, features & more

KTM RC 390 vs Kawasaki Ninja 300: Engine specs

The biggest contrast between the two motorcycles comes from their engines. The RC 390 is powered by a 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces about 43 hp and 37 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

The Ninja 300, on the other hand, uses a 296cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that makes roughly 38 hp and about 26 Nm of torque, also mated to a six-speed gearbox.

In the department of features, the RC 390 comes with a full-colour TFT display that supports smartphone connectivity, along with riding modes, a slipper clutch and a quick-shifter.

The Ninja 300 keeps things simpler with a semi-digital instrument cluster, an assist, slipper clutch and heat management tech. Both motorcycles come equipped with disc brakes and dual-channel ABS as standard.

The RC 390 uses USD front forks and a rear monoshock. It also gets larger front brake discs and performance-oriented components. The Ninja 300 uses conventional telescopic front forks and a monoshock rear suspension.

The pricing of the two bikes is fairly close, placing them in the premium end of the entry-level sportbike space. The RC 390 is priced at around Rs 3.22 lakh, ex-showroom, while the Ninja 300 starts at roughly Rs 3.17 lakh, ex-showroom.
