Motorola Edge 70 Fusion to launch in India soon: Key specs and features revealed

Motorola is set to launch the Edge 70 Fusion in India. A dedicated microsite for the upcoming smartphone recently went live on the e-commerce platform Flipkart. The microsite, which went live recently to confirm the phone’s availability through the retail channel, has since been updated by the company to reveal several specifications and features ahead of the official launch date.

The handset will be available in three Pantone-curated colour options, giving buyers a range of choices at launch. Motorola also claims the Edge 70 Fusion will be the first phone in the world to feature the Sony LYT-710 rear camera, a detail likely to draw attention from photography-focused buyers. Motorola Edge 70 Fusion: Availability details

Motorola’s Edge 70 Fusion is confirmed to be available in India in three Pantone-curated colourways: Silhouette, Blue Surf, and Country Air.

All colour options will feature a “leather-inspired” texture on the back panel. The phone will be sold in India via Flipkart. However, the company is yet to confirm the launch price of the edupmicng smartphone.

Motorola Edge 70 Fusion: Confirmed and expected specs

The dedicated microsite on Flipkart for the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion has been updated to reveal the smartphone’s battery capacity, camera configuration, display features, and colour options.

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will feature a quad-curved 1.5K display with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, peak brightness of up to 5,200 nits, SGS eye protection, a 96.2% screen-to-body ratio, and HDR10+ support.

It will also feature Smart Water Touch 3.0, which allows users to operate the handset with wet fingers. The phone will pack a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 68W wired fast charging and measure 7.99mm in thickness.

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion features a triple-rear-camera setup. According to Motorola, the smartphone is the first to feature the 50MP Sony LYT-710 sensor. The main camera is equipped with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a macro sensor, with unspecified details.

The front of the phone features a 32MP camera that can record 4K video.

The phone is expected to ship with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, as per the Flipkart listing. More details are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
