Darron Lee, the former NFL player, has had a few legal cases against him as in 2023, he was accused of domestic violence.
But on 5th February, things changed as Darron Lee’s girlfriend, Gabriella Carvalho Perpétuo, was found dead with brutal injury marks at their rented home in Tennessee.
As Darron Lee faces first degree murder charge, Gabriella Carvalho Perpétuo has taken some action against him.
Darron Lee’s late girlfriend’s family hires a private investigator as he faces serious charges
According to Local 3 News, Gabriella Carvalho Perpétuo’s family’s legal team. Attorney C. Mark Warren, has stated that they have decided to hire a private investigator to look for Darron Lee’s assets.
Attorney C. Mark Warren stated, “This is the worst possible thing that can happen to a parent or a family…”
The family’s legal team added, “We have already retained a private investigator to search for assets of the defendant we know as an NFL football player.
We also know he had an NFL pension plan, and we have a private investigator now tracking down his assets. ”
Attorney C. Mark Warren continued, “Because that’s job number one in this case, is to find the assets of the of the defendant, capture them and keep them from being transferred to somebody else so the family can have some compensation for what they’re going through and the loss of their daughter…”
While Darron Lee is facing first degree murder charges and has been scheduled for a preliminary hearing on 9th March, the former New York Jets player has also been sued by Gabriella Carvalho Perpétuo’s family for a whopping $50 million.
At this point in time, Darron Lee’s legal team has not made a statement after he was denied bail.
Darron Lee’s home reportedly had blood everywhere, as per authorities
Investigators working on the case have reported that Darron Lee and Gabriella Carvalho Perpétuo’s rented home painted a horrifying picture of what might have happened on 5th February.
As per reports, there was “blood in every room” of the house as investigators have also accused Darron Lee for “tampering evidence” as they felt some of the blood was reportedly cleaned up before authorities arrived.
It has not been confirmed yet what led to the alleged brutal murder of Darron Lee’s girlfriend.
