Co-op Kumbh 2025: Digital Reforms for Cooperative Banks in Delhi

Significant reforms and digital innovations for India’s cooperative banking sector will be the focus of Co-op Kumbh 2025, an international conference being organized in New Delhi this November.

The National Federation of Urban Co-operative Banks and Credit Societies (NAFCUB) will host the event on November 10-11, with Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah set to inaugurate it.

NAFCUB’s Role and Vision

NAFCUB represents over 1,500 Urban Cooperative Banks and approximately 60,000 Credit Societies nationwide.

At a press conference on Thursday, NAFCUB President Laxmi Dass emphasized that “Co-op Kumbh 2025 is not merely a conference, but a collective movement to re-imagine cooperative finance in the digital era.”

“Through dialogue, innovation, and shared vision, we aim to empower communities and strengthen the cooperative foundation of financial inclusion in India,” he added.

Delhi Declaration 2025

The conference’s centerpiece will be the adoption of the “Delhi Declaration 2025 – Roadmap to 2030.” This comprehensive policy document outlines strategic approaches for enhancing governance, capital adequacy, risk management, and digital inclusion across cooperative financial institutions.
