Brad Pitt’s F1 races past 100 days in cinemas, still running strong in India

Brad Pitt’s high-octane sports drama ‘F1: The Movie’ has crossed a major milestone, completing 100 days in Indian cinemas on October 4, 2025. The film has long collected over Rs 100 crore net at the Indian box office since its release in June. Now in its 16th week, the multilingual release – available in Hindi and several South Indian languages – continues to attract audiences across the country.

Directed by ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ filmmaker Joseph Kosinski, the film follows Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a seasoned Formula One driver who comes out of retirement to mentor a struggling team. Backed by producers Jerry Bruckheimer and F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, the film blends adrenaline-fuelled racing with emotional depth, earning praise from both fans and critics.

Globally, ‘F1: The Movie’ has been a box office juggernaut, grossing close to Rs 5,000 crore (around Rs 4,800 crore) worldwide. Its authentic portrayal of motorsport and stunning race sequences have made it one of 2025’s biggest international hits.

Following its successful theatrical run, anticipation is now high for its digital debut. The film is available to rent on Prime Video, before streaming exclusively on Apple TV+ after its cinema run, expected between late September and early October.

Featuring an ensemble cast that includes Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, and Tobias Menzies, ‘F1: The Movie’ continues to make headlines for its global appeal, technical brilliance, and Brad Pitt’s charismatic performance behind the wheel.
