Chicago Bulls vs Cleveland Cavaliers Preseason Game Results: Jevon Carter and Matas Buzelis headline a stunning last-minute win for the team

In a high-octane match on Tuesday, the Chicago Bulls secured their first preseason win. It was a close game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jevon Carter pulled off a last-minute dunk, adding two points and giving the Bulls the lead. Matas Buzelis led the Bulls in scoring, while De’Andre Hunter and Craig Porter Jr. from the Cavaliers also delivered impressive performances. However, Cleveland fell short in the end.

The Cleveland Cavaliers took an 11-point lead in the first quarter. However, the momentum wasn’t the same across the rest of the quarters. Towards the end of the first half, the Chicago Bulls brought the score to an equal. Both teams were standing with a score of 57 each. The Cavaliers once again jumped back to secure a 7-point lead over the Bulls in the third quarter. But the Bulls weren’t ready to give up yet. It was in the fourth quarter that the team turned the game in their favor in the last minute.

Matas Buzelis scored the highest, racking up 19 points with 8 rebounds and 1 assist. However, it was Jevon Carter whose last-minute 2-pointer gave a lead to the Bulls. Carter made the score when only 36.9 seconds were left in the game.

Dalen Terry also stopped an equalizing score towards the end from Thomas Bryant, keeping the lead intact for the Bulls. They defeated the Cavaliers by 1 point. The final score of the game stood at 118-117.

De’Andre Hunter and Craig Porter Jr. from the Cavaliers also put up impressive plays. Both players added 17 points each to the final score.

Who will Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers face next?

Having turned the first preseason game in their favor last minute, the Chicago Bulls have established the fact that they are not going to give up easily. The Bulls will be facing the Cleveland Cavaliers again for their second preseason game. While the first game between the two teams was held at Rocket Arena, the second game will be held at the United Center. The game has been scheduled for October 9.

While for the Bulls, the aim will be to maintain the winning streak, the Cavaliers will look for a comeback in the preseason games. The Cavaliers will get an immediate chance to settle the scores from their first preseason game of 2025-2026. After the second game, the Bulls will be facing the Milwaukee Bucks. On the other hand, the Cavaliers will be facing the Boston Celtics.
