Sharvari Wagh to star opposite Ahaan Panday in Ali Abbas Zafar’s new action romance

Actress Sharvari Wagh is all ready to team up with Ahaan Panday in filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming, yet-untitled action romance.

A source close to the film told IANS, “With ‘Saiyaara’ breaking records, Ahaan Panday has become the biggest Gen Z male star in India. Sharvari also proved her mettle with the Rs. 100 crore blockbuster ‘Munjya’. Both of them have shown that sheer acting talent can bring audiences to theatres.”

The insider added, “Ali Abbas Zafar is excited to create a film that blends romance with action, targeting the young crowd. After years, debutants and young actors with proven box office appeal are taking the spotlight.”

Interestingly, this movie will be the fifth collaboration between Ali Abbas Zafar and Aditya Chopra. This follows hits like ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, ‘Gunday’, ‘Sultan’, and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.

Another insider shared insights on Ahaan’s rising popularity, saying, “’Saiyaara’ erased any doubts that Gen Z isn’t coming to theatres anymore. Young audiences turned up in huge numbers because the film spoke to them in their own language and emotions. This has changed thinking in Bollywood. Top directors now want to make films with young actors because the rewards can be huge.”

The source also highlighted the unprecedented success of ‘Saiyaara’: “Who would have thought it could become the highest-grossing love story in Indian cinema? Nobody expected it pre-release. With talents like Ahaan Panday, Sharvari Wagh, and Aneet Padda in the mix, the industry is looking at a new wave of films led by young actors.”

The pairing of Sharvari and Ahaan is already creating curiosity. “In a love story, both leads need to shine, and Ali has chosen a pair that audiences haven’t seen together before. Their chemistry will be a fresh experience, which makes the film even more exciting,” the source explained.

“Ali’s track record shows he knows how to create memorable characters. Expect him to deliver two fantastic roles that complement each other beautifully on screen. It’s going to be a delight to watch this new pairing in action, romance, and emotion,” the source concluded.
