Vivo X300 Ultra, FE launched in India: Prices, sale date, specs

Vivo has expanded its premium smartphone lineup in India with the launch of two new devices today, the Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300 FE. Both smartphones arrive as part of the company’s push into the high-end segment, with very different target audiences. While the X300 FE is positioned as a compact flagship aimed at users who want performance in a relatively manageable form factor, the X300 Ultra clearly steps into the ultra-premium category, taking direct aim at some of the most powerful flagship phones in the market right now.

Starting with pricing, Vivo has placed the X300 FE at Rs 79,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. There is also the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage model, which is priced at Rs 89,999. On the other hand, the Vivo X300 Ultra comes in at Rs 1,59,999 for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model, placing it firmly in the top-tier flagship segment. Both phones will be available through online and offline channels, starting May 14. The pre-booking for both the devices has already started. The Telephoto Extender Kit for the FE version will cost you Rs 15,999. As for the Ultra model, the Vivo Imaging Grip kit is priced at Rs 11,999 and the Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra kit will cost you Rs 27,999.

Vivo X300 FE: Specs

The Vivo X300 FE is available in three colour options, including Lilac Purple, Noir Black and Urban Olive. Design-wise, it focuses on practicality with a slim 7.99mm profile and a weight of 191 grams, along with an AG finish that is meant to improve grip and reduce fingerprints. The phone features a 6.31-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, aiming to balance smooth visuals with power efficiency in daily use.

Under the hood, the X300 FE is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset in India, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. This combination is designed to deliver flagship-level performance, whether it is gaming, multitasking or handling demanding apps. Vivo has also equipped the device with a large 6,500mAh battery, which supports 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. In real-world usage, this puts the phone in a strong position for users who prioritise both performance and battery endurance.

Camera performance is one of the key highlights of the X300 FE. The smartphone comes with a Zeiss-backed triple camera system led by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary sensor. It is paired with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with a 110-degree field of view. On the front, there is a 50-megapixel Zeiss-tuned selfie camera with a wide field of view, designed for both selfies and video calls.

Vivo has also added a range of camera-focused features, including Zeiss multifocal portrait modes, adaptive zoom flash, and a dedicated street photography mode. One of the more interesting additions is support for the Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 accessory, which allows the phone to achieve a 200mm-equivalent focal length, turning it into a more versatile mobile photography setup. Alongside this, AI-based visual tools and OriginOS features like memory fusion and cross-device sharing aim to improve the overall software experience.

Vivo X300 Ultra: Specs

The Vivo X300 Ultra, on the other hand, is designed very differently and focuses heavily on imaging and professional-grade capabilities. It will be available in Eclipse Black and Victory Green colour options, and the Indian variant features a camera-inspired design with a textured finish and a more distinct split-style build.

At the centre of the Ultra model is Vivo’s Zeiss Master Lenses system, which covers multiple focal lengths and is clearly aimed at photography enthusiasts and content creators. The setup includes a 14mm ultra-wide camera using a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 818 sensor, a 35mm documentary-style camera with a 200-megapixel Sony LYTIA 901 sensor, and an 85mm APO telephoto camera with another 200-megapixel sensor, supported by gimbal-like stabilisation for improved clarity and stability.

The display on the X300 Ultra is also a step up, featuring a 6.83-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. This makes it suitable not just for media consumption but also for high-end gaming and professional use cases where smooth visuals matter.

Vivo is also pushing the photography experience further with external lens support on the Ultra model. It will be compatible with Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 accessories offering 200mm and 400mm equivalent focal lengths, using a Kepler optical structure for improved zoom performance. In addition, the company is offering a Photographer Kit, which includes telephoto lenses, an imaging grip with a built-in 2300mAh battery, tripod accessories and mounting tools to create a more DSLR-like experience.

On the video side, the X300 Ultra supports advanced recording features including 4K at 120fps with Dolby Vision, 10-bit log video, and ACES colour workflow integration, which is typically seen in professional cinema setups. It also supports multi-focal slow motion, time-lapse recording and autofocus tracking at 60fps for moving subjects.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, combined with a 6,600mAh battery. It supports 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, along with a large vapour chamber cooling system to maintain performance during heavy workloads. Vivo has also confirmed long-term software support for the Ultra, offering five years of OS updates and seven years of security updates.
