Lava Bold 2 launched in India with 50MP camera and 5,000mAh battery, price is less than Rs 15,000

Lava has launched the Bold 2 5G, which is the predecessor of the Lava Bold 5G launched in April last year. This is a budget smartphone which features a 50-megapixel rear camera and is packed with a 5,000mAh battery, similar to its predecessor. The phone comes in two colour options and will go on sale from March 19.

Lava Bold 2 5G specs, price, colours and features

The Lava Bold 2 5G comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone features an in-display fingerprint sensor along with face unlock support for biometric security.

For photography, the Lava Bold 2 ships with a 50-megapixel rear camera with a Sony sensor. On the front, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel punch hole camera for selfies and video calls.

On the processor front, the Lava Bold 2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor delivering a peak clock speed of 2.6GHz. The company claims it has 5,00,000+ AnTuTu Score. The device runs on Android 15 and carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

In terms of battery, Lava’s new smartphone is packed with a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The device comes with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

Design-wise, the Lava Bold 2 comes with a flat frame and has a 7.55 mm body. On the rear side, it has a rectangular camera module with two cut-out cameras along with a flashlight.

The Lava Bold 2 comes in a single variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, priced at Rs 12,999. The price is part of a limited launch offer and also includes additional bank discounts. Lava will also provide free doorstep service for customers who purchase the Lava Bold 2 5G. The smartphone will go on sale from March 19 via Amazon. It is available in two colour options: Feather White and Midnight Black.

Lava launched the Bold N2 last month as an entry-level offering targeted at budget-conscious buyers. Priced at Rs 7,499, the device runs on Android 15 and is powered by a Unisoc 9863A octa-core chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The Bold N2 sports a 6.75-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. On the camera front, it features a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary lens, complemented by a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies.

Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. It is worth noting that the Bold N2 does not support 5G.
