Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra launched in India: Check out specifications and pricing

The Xiaomi 17 series has created quite a stir in global markets since it was unveiled a few days ago. Finally, after a short wait, Xiaomi India has released the Xiaomi 17 series in the country. The series includes the Xiaomi 17 and the more camera-focused Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Both devices are powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship SoC, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and feature some of the most advanced camera systems. Here’s a detailed look at the specifications, pricing and availability for both the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra.

Xiaomi 17 specifications

The Xiaomi 17 comes with a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display that supports an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz. The display comes with up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness, 12-bit colour depth, and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It comes with Xiaomi’s Shield Glass 3.0 and is also IP68/69 certified for dust and water resistance.

Internally, the Xiaomi 17 comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile platform. It comes with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a UFS 4.1 storage option, available in 256GB or 512GB. In terms of battery and charging, the Xiaomi 17 features a large 6,330 mAh silicon-carbon battery, along with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

As for the cameras, the phone features a triple-camera system on the back, including a 50MP primary camera with the Light Fusion 950 sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera with a 60mm focal length, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies and videos, the Xiaomi 17 gets a 50MP front shooter. The device runs HyperOS 3, based on Android 16.

Moving on to the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the device features a much larger 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz. It comes with support for up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness. Just like the Xiaomi 17, it also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The front is protected by the same Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0.

Internally, the Xiaomi 17 and the 17 Ultra are very similar, as the Ultra also comes powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile platform. It features 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. In terms of battery and charging, the device gets a smaller 6,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, along with support for 90W wired fast charging and 50W fast wireless charging.

For the cameras, since the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is more camera-focused. It comes with a Leica-tuned triple-rear camera system including a 50MP Light Fusion 1050L primary sensor. This is paired with a 200MP telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The front of the device features a 50MP camera for selfies and video recording. The device runs HyperOS 3, based on Android 16.

Pricing and availability

As for pricing and availability, the regular Xiaomi 17 has been launched at Rs 89,999 for the 12 GB + 256 GB variant. The higher-end 12 GB + 512 GB variant has been launched at Rs 99,999. The device comes in multiple colour options, including blue, black and green. There is also an early-bird launch offer, where buyers can get the 512GB variant at the price of the 256GB variant.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be available starting at Rs 1,39,999. The Photography Kit Pro for the device has been priced at Rs 19,999. As part of the Early Bird offer, customers purchasing the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will receive the photography kit for free.

Both phones from the Xiaomi 17 series will be available across Amazon.in, mi.com, and Xiaomi retail stores starting 18th March 2026.
