Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Dhurandhar: The Revenge is set for a theatrical release on March 19. The spy thriller will be available to stream on JioHotstar after its theatrical run. However, the digital release date for the film has yet to be officially announced by the filmmakers. The confirmation of the streaming partner came at the conclusion of the trailer, adding to the excitement surrounding the project.
Advance booking data highlights the film’s strong pre-release performance. As per Sacnilk, the film has sold over two lakh tickets across languages so far, collecting a gross of Rs 18.11 crore for its opening day (including block seats) in India. This indicates widespread audience anticipation.
The release strategy for Dhurandhar 2 was influenced by the postponement of Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which was originally scheduled for release on the same day.
The decision to postpone Toxic came as a result of rising tensions in the Middle East, prompting the makers of the Geetu Mohandas-directed gangster drama to shift its release to June 4. This move has avoided a major box-office clash between two high-profile projects, potentially benefiting both films in terms of revenue and audience reach.
The first part of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar was released in December 2025 and premiered on Netflix after its theatrical run.
