Gulf Air flights remain temporarily suspended as Bahrain airspace closure continues

Flights operated by Gulf Air are still temporarily suspended, and this is because the closure of the airspace in Bahrain is still ongoing, just like in other regions that are being affected by the disruptions in aviation in the Middle East. In an update issued by the airline, Gulf Air confirmed that all services will remain on hold until authorities confirm that the airspace can safely reopen. The airline said flight operations will resume only after the Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs confirms that conditions are safe for aircraft movements.

Gulf Air stated that the suspension is a precautionary measure following the continued closure of Bahrain’s airspace, which has affected multiple airlines operating in the region.

The situation remains tense as several countries across the Middle East continue to deal with aviation disruptions linked to the ongoing regional crisis. Airspace restrictions and safety concerns have forced airlines to suspend or adjust flight schedules in order to ensure passenger and crew safety.

The Bahraini carrier said it will restart operations once aviation authorities confirm that flights can safely resume.

Passengers advised to check flight status

Passengers affected by the suspension have been advised to regularly check the status of their flights before travelling to the airport.

Gulf Air said travellers can obtain the latest updates through the airline’s official website or mobile application.

Customers are encouraged to monitor updates and stay in contact with the airline for any changes to schedules or rebooking options once services restart.

Next update scheduled for March 6

According to the airline, the next operational update regarding the suspension will be issued at 11:00 Bahrain Time (08:00 UTC) on March 6.

Until then, travellers are advised to follow official announcements and check flight status online for the most recent information regarding departures and arrivals.

Airlines across the Gulf region continue to closely monitor the evolving situation and adjust their operations accordingly as aviation authorities assess safety conditions in regional airspace.
