Xiaomi Pad 8 with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC and 9,200mAh battery launched in India

Xiaomi has expanded its tablet portfolio in India with the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 8. The new device follows earlier models such as the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 7 series. With this latest release, the company aims to target users who rely on Android devices for work, content viewing and digital tasks.

Xiaomi Pad 8: Configurations, Price in India and Availability

The Xiaomi Pad 8 comes in several configurations in India. The base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 33,999, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs Rs. 36,999, while the same configuration with a nanotexture display is priced at Rs. 38,999.

Xiaomi is also offering bundled options that include a stylus. The standard bundle with the pen is priced at Rs. 41,999, while the nanotexture version with the pen is priced at Rs. 43,999. The nanotexture display is designed to reduce glare and reflections, which may help during writing, sketching, or reading for long periods.

The tablet will be available for purchase in India starting March 17 through Xiaomi’s official website and Amazon India, along with offline retail stores.

Xiaomi Pad 8: Specifications and Features

The Xiaomi Pad 8 features an 11.2-inch display with a 3.2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen supports DC dimming and TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification to help reduce strain during extended use. The display is designed to support activities such as streaming video, playing games, writing notes, and working with documents.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. It also marks an upgrade compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor used in the previous Xiaomi Pad 7. Furthermore, the Xiaomi Pad 8 houses a 9,200mAh battery with 45W charging support. According to the company, the capacity is designed to support extended usage across tasks such as media playback, browsing, and gaming. The battery is larger than the 8,850mAh unit used in the Xiaomi Pad 7.

As for the optics, the device sports a 13MP rear sensor and an 8MP front camera, mainly intended for video calls, online classes, and basic photography. The device also includes a quad-speaker system with support for Dolby Atmos for audio output. Connectivity options on the tablet include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port.
