The South Korean electronics giant attributed this growth to GST rate reductions, attractive festive offers, and positive consumer sentiment.
Galaxy AI Smartphones Drive Growth
The smartphone segment growth was primarily driven by Samsung’s AI-powered portfolio including the Z Fold 7 foldable, Galaxy S25 series, and Galaxy S24 series.
“The sale of premium Galaxy smartphones, priced upwards of ₹30,000, jumped 1.4 times versus the corresponding period last year. Samsung is confident that its premium AI smartphones will continue to do well in the run-up to the auspicious Diwali festival,” a Samsung India spokesperson said.
Premium Television Sales Double
Television sales witnessed robust growth, boosted by GST rate reductions on larger televisions (above 32 inches). Samsung’s vision AI-powered premium Neo QLED and OLED televisions experienced significant consumer demand during the two-week festive period.
“Sales of Samsung’s premium televisions jumped 2x as compared to the corresponding festive period last year on account of unmatched deals, extended warranties, GST rate cut, and increasing adoption of AI televisions in India. Samsung is confident that its premium Neo QLED and OLED televisions and Bespoke AI appliances will continue to do well in the run-up to the auspicious Diwali festival,” the spokesperson said.
The company remains optimistic about continued strong performance leading up to Diwali, with premium AI-powered devices expected to maintain their momentum.
