OnePlus 15 Confirmed with 7300mAh Battery, 120W Charging & New Cooling

OnePlus 15 Key Specifications Confirmed: Massive Battery, Fast Charging & New Cooling

OnePlus has officially confirmed major details about the upcoming OnePlus 15, revealing a massive 7,300mAh battery, 120W fast charging, and a revolutionary cooling system ahead of its October 27 China launch. The device is also expected to debut in India around November 14.

Key Takeaways

  • 7,300mAh battery – largest ever on a OnePlus phone
  • 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support
  • New Glacier Cooling System with 2x heat dissipation
  • Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor confirmed
  • Three color options: Sand Dunes, Absolute Black, Fog Purple

Battery and Charging Capabilities

The OnePlus 15 will feature a record-breaking 7,300mAh battery, the highest capacity ever seen on a OnePlus device. The phone supports 120W wired SuperVOOC fast charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring quick power top-ups.

Advanced Cooling System

OnePlus introduces the “Glacier Cooling System,” claiming it offers the “strongest thermal insulation performance in the history of mobile phones.” The system uses ultra-thin materials and a 5778mm² large flat glacier vapour cooling chamber, increasing heat dissipation speed by 2 times compared to previous models.

Design and Display Features

The device will be available in three color variants: Sand Dunes, Absolute Black, and Fog Purple. OnePlus has teased ultra-thin 1.15mm bezels on all four sides, resulting in a higher screen-to-body ratio than previous generations.

The phone features a 165Hz refresh rate display with optimized support for popular games like League of Legends and Clash of Clans. Leaks suggest a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED panel, though this may represent a downgrade from the 2K display on earlier models.

Camera and Performance Upgrades

In a significant change, the OnePlus 15 drops Hasselblad branding in favor of an in-house DetailMax engine. The camera module has been completely redesigned with a “squiricle” shape housing a triple 50MP setup including primary, ultra-wide-angle, and periscope telephoto lenses. The front camera is expected to be 32MP with autofocus support.

Performance is driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with Adreno 840 GPU, positioning the device as a premium flagship contender.

India Launch Expectations

For the Indian market, OnePlus has showcased the device in Sand Dunes and Absolute Black color options. The company confirms the OnePlus 15 will be the first phone in India powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, validating rumors of an earlier-than-usual flagship launch in the country.
