Google has launched Gemini 3, its most advanced AI model, marking a significant milestone in the artificial intelligence race. The new model is integrated directly into Google Search from day one, allowing instant access through a simple toggle without requiring separate downloads.

In a major development for Indian users, Jio has expanded its AI partnership with Google, making the Gemini Pro Plan available free to all Unlimited 5G subscribers for 18 months – a package valued at Rs 35,100.

Gemini 3 Features and Capabilities

The next-generation AI model introduces a new “AI thinking” feature in Google Search, designed to enhance user efficiency and boost creativity. The model represents Google’s most sophisticated AI offering to date.

Eligible Jio users will receive comprehensive benefits including 2TB of cloud storage, AI tools for image and video creation, and access across Google’s ecosystem of apps and services.

Massive User Adoption

Google CEO Sundar Pichai expressed excitement about the launch with a simple social media post. The company revealed impressive adoption metrics: the Gemini App now serves over 650 million users monthly, with more than 70% of cloud customers utilizing Google’s AI capabilities.

Additionally, 13 million developers have built applications using Google’s generative models, demonstrating widespread industry adoption.

How to Claim Free Gemini Pro Plan

All Jio users with Unlimited 5G plans can now access the 18-month free subscription, significantly expanding eligibility beyond the previous youth-only offering for users aged 18-25.

To activate the free plan, users simply need to open the MyJio app and tap the “Claim Now” banner. Meanwhile, in the US, Google will implement a phased rollout, beginning with Gemini Pro and Ultra subscribers.

The launch attracted attention from key AI industry figures. Elon Musk of xAI and Sam Altman of OpenAI both responded to Sundar Pichai’s announcement.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman congratulated Google on the launch, commenting that the new model “looks great,” indicating positive reception from competing AI organizations.
