NMDC Raises Iron Ore Lump Price to ₹5,600 Per Tonne
State-owned mining company NMDC has increased the price of iron ore Baila Lump by ₹50 per tonne, effective from November 15, while keeping Baila Fines prices unchanged. The new Baila Lump price stands at ₹5,600 per tonne, marking the second price revision in less than a month.
Key Price Changes
- Baila Lump: Increased to ₹5,600 per tonne (up ₹50)
- Baila Fines: Unchanged at ₹4,750 per tonne
- Effective Date: November 15
Recent Price History
In the previous revision on October 22, NMDC had reduced Baila Lump prices by ₹550 to ₹5,550 and Baila Fines by ₹500 to ₹4,750. Before that, on August 1, prices were set at ₹6,100 for Baila Lump and ₹5,250 for Baila Fines.
These are FOR prices inclusive of royalty, DMF, and NMET, but exclusive of cess, forest permit fee, transit fee, GST, environmental cess, and other taxes.
FY26 Price Revisions
This latest change represents the sixth price revision this financial year and the seventh since January 2025. The price trajectory shows:
- January 9, 2025: ₹6,000 (Lump) and ₹5,060 (Fines)
- May 1, 2025: ₹6,400 and ₹5,500
- June 4, 2025: Reduced to ₹6,300 and ₹5,350
- July 1, 2025: Reduced to ₹5,700 and ₹4,850
